Welcome!
Nice that you are here! My name is Oliver Otto and on this page you can find out more about me and my career.
From 1996 to 2001 I studied computer engineering in the engineering department at the FHTW Berlin (Germany). In addition, I studied for an extra six months at the University of Reading from 2000 to 2001. This made it possible to get a double degree with one thesis, a german diploma in engineering and a Master of Science. Cool what 😉
From Oct. From 2001 to February 2007 I did my PhD on the topic “Natural object focused collaboration in distributed virtual environments”. Virtual environments are becoming increasingly important in our world to simulate and/or directly reproduce the real world. There are now a number of applications that use VR, and interaction with others in this environment is playing an increasingly important role. Further information can be found on the project homepage: https://www.salford.ac.uk
After my studies, I switched to industry and worked as a project manager in the automotive and railway industries, with a particular focus on HMI development and, more recently, on the development of interior vehicle orchestration in the Volkswagen Group. Further information can be found in my Resume.
